Live Network Bandwidth Analysis
The Network Monitor live statistics module allows you to get a very good picture of the activity that is going on for any given network segment monitored while it is happening. In the picture above live bandwidth shows the total bandwidth usage by all of the systems being monitored.
Additionally, using the ReportBuilder in Distinct Network Monitor you can study bandwidth trending over longer periods of time. These reports allow you to find out which systems are your top bandwidth users. Then you can run different reports to find out how these systems are using up the bandwidth. A combination of reports generated with ReportBuilder can give you a good indicator on general bandwidth usage and the need or otherwise to reconfigure systems or upgrade your network resources.
